Spiritual journey
A High Level Overview of our Spiritual Journey

It’s important to understand that a Christian’s spiritual journey is indeed a journey. Once we become believers, we don’t achieve instant spiritual maturity. From the time of our spiritual birth our eyes are opened and we see events in our lives and in the world for what they really are. And because it is a journey there is disparity in some of what Christians believe. Some people are less knowledgeable because they’ve just begun their journey. Others have deep knowledge because they’ve been on the journey a long time.

Author John Bunyan wrote The Pilgrim’s Progress. It is a allegorical story of the Christian’s journey through life. It’s a story of a journey full of trials, dangers, and blessings. It is without a doubt the greatest allegory ever written. The book presents an unforgettable and universal picture of the Christian life, from the time of spiritual birth to the truth of the gospel to the entrance into heaven. For a new believer it can help put some context around the journey quickly.

But most importantly a person must read God’s revelation to us. If you are new to the Bible, a good place to start is the book of John.
